charming traditional stay near kanazawa's best attractions
I loved my stay at this unique spot, where the cozy tatami room gave a perfect traditional ryokan experience and relaxing communal onsen provided a great way to unwind after exploring nearby landmarks like the fine Kenroku-en, just a short walk away.

The location was unbeatable and quiet, for example, an Edo - period garden was at a short distance from the hotel. You could walk to a shopping mall and a main shopping street. The unit we got was well-equipped with the single male toilet, a nice heater, as example.

Fantastic room, large with a nice heater as well as tea, accommodating staff. Costs US$ 20694. Location right by the park as well as the historic area of Kanazawa and all attractions in Kanazawa and the Castle, shops and restaurants. Friendly service and great value.

The staff was very kind and cute to us.
The shared bathrooms were quite a nuisance during peak hours, and I often felt awkward brushing my teeth in the lobby area, as everyone could see me. The stairs leading to the upper levels are steep and can be a challenge, especially for older guests. Plus, the rooms are not soundproof. I was frequently disturbed by conversations from the neighboring unit.

The owners were very friendly, it felt very personal. They have an excellent visitors map with other travellers recommendations of restaurants and places to see. They were very helpful and spoke good english. The onsen type bath could be used privately.

Very central location - near a gallery and a castle. Nestled near eateries and bars.

The Japanese-Style Quadruple Room with Garden View offers a lovely view of a well-maintained Japanese garden that adds a serene touch to the experience. The baths are wonderfully hot.
Laundry hours run from 9 am to 21:30, which forces you to plan around that if you need clean clothes. During colder months, the hallways can feel a bit chilly, so come prepared with something warm for those trips to the restroom since the rooms have solid air conditioning, keeping them comfortably warm.

This traditional ryokan provided a warm and comfortable experience in a quiet room with a beautiful garden view. The shared baths were wonderfully relaxing after a busy day, but the shared bathroom setup could be inconvenient during peak times. The Japanese breakfast was a highlight, showcasing the local cuisine.
